Help build Stereokuro

Stereokuro is powered by people who love music. Anyone can submit lyrics, fix mistakes, or add missing details - every contribution is reviewed before it goes live.

Improve metadata

Help us keep artist names, album art, release dates, and credits accurate and up to date.

Before you start

Every submission goes into a review queue - nothing you submit is published immediately. A small editorial check helps keep Stereokuro accurate and free of spam, so don't worry about getting everything perfect on the first try.

Adding lyrics to a song

  1. Find the song you want to add lyrics for and open its page.
  2. If no lyrics exist yet, you'll see an Add lyrics button. If lyrics already exist but need a correction, use Edit instead.
  3. Paste or type the lyrics. Use a blank line between verses, choruses, and other sections - this is how we automatically detect the song's structure.
  4. Optionally switch to Structured mode to label each part (Verse, Chorus, Pre-Chorus, Bridge, etc.) and reorder sections.
  5. Submit. Our team will review the changes shortly.

Formatting guidelines

  • Transcribe lyrics exactly as performed, including repeated choruses and ad-libs - don't shorten with "x2" or "repeat".
  • Use standard section labels (Intro, Verse, Chorus, Pre-Chorus, Post-Chorus, Bridge, Hook, Interlude, Outro) where possible. Custom labels are fine for unusual structures.
  • Keep line breaks consistent with how the lyric is sung or written - avoid merging multiple lines into one.
  • Spell artist names, song titles, and featured artists exactly as credited on the official release.
  • If a song is instrumental, mark it as instrumental rather than leaving the lyrics blank - this helps other contributors avoid duplicate submissions.

Adding credits

Songwriting, production, and performance credits help listeners discover the people behind a track. When adding credits, use the most specific role available (songwriter, composer, producer, engineer, mixer, vocalist, instrumentalist, and so on) and avoid duplicating the same person under multiple overlapping roles.

Community standards

  • Submit content you have the rights to share, or that is publicly performed/released material being transcribed for reference.
  • Don't submit offensive, defamatory, or unrelated content in place of actual lyrics.
  • Don't make edits purely to alter another contributor's wording for stylistic preference - only submit a change if it improves accuracy.
  • Repeated low-quality or bad-faith submissions may result in contribution privileges being restricted.

What happens after I submit?

Submissions are queued for review by the Stereokuro team. Approved changes appear on the site, often within a day or two depending on volume. We don't currently send notifications for every review outcome, but you're welcome to check back on the song page to see your contribution live.
